Good evening RMS Parents, our lost and found has grown significantly. We have laid out clothing in the gym earlier in the week and will be laying it out again on Friday morning. We will be donating any lost and found clothing not claimed to our clothing closet next week. If you know your child is missing anything please encourage them to look the next few days. Thank you!

Good evening- Communities In Schools is having a county wide resource day located at the Ravenswood Middle School gym before the Ripley vs Ravenswood basketball game tomorrow evening. Start time is 5:00pm to 6:30pm. Come out and learn what services are provided in Jackson county, and have an opportunity to win a prize. Thank you and have a wonderful evening.

Also, Ripley High School will be hosting a Scheduling Information Night on Monday, January 8th. This is an opportunity for students and parents to learn about courses and graduation requirements as we begin the scheduling process for the 2024-2025 school year. Teachers from each subject area will be available to give information and answer questions. At 6:00 p.m. incoming Freshman and parents will meet in the auditorium. After a brief informational session, students and parents will be dismissed to meet with teachers. We look forward to seeing everyone Monday evening!

Please review this information with your child over the next two weeks and if you need to make changes in what was completed online in class please have your child meet with Mr. Hamilton at Ripley Middle School or you can contact him with any questions or any changes that need to be made. After January 31, 2024 any change request regarding your child’s High School Schedule will need to be made to the High School 9th Grade Counselor, Mrs. Minardi.

Good evening RMS 8th Grade Parents, this week Mr. Hamilton has been meeting with all 8th grade students in their WV Studies classes regarding High School Scheduling. Next week 8th graders will be meeting with Mr. Hamilton and the Ripley High School Counselors on January 11 (Mrs. Scholl’s classroom) and January 12 (Mrs. Farkosh’s Classroom) to complete their High School Registration online. The Ripley High School Program of Study is available online through the Ripley High School Website. Your child will be given their Freshman Course request and will be completing their schedule’s online on January 11th and 12th.

Good afternoon. This is Will Hosaflook, Superintendent of Jackson County Schools. On Tuesday, December 19, our internet service provider WVNET will be completing network maintenance on their server systems. It is very likely all governmental agencies and schools in West Virginia will not have internet access. However, all school phone systems should work if you need to contact the school. School personnel are aware of the internet outage and have adjusted their plans accordingly. Tuesday will be our last full day of school before Christmas break, while on Wednesday, December 20, students will be dismissed 3 hours early. Please have a wonderful Holiday Season.
