What Makes You Different is What Makes You Spooktacular! First graders discussed people's differences and how to treat and respect others, even if they are different than us. They read Spookly the Square Pumpkin. Spookly saves the other pumpkins in the patch because of his differences, being square and not round. The story teaches us that our differences can be a good thing and makes you unique. The students created their own unique pumpkin and wrote about how their pumpkin was special.
